PokéBonk starter guide: Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle?

How to choose a first PokéBonk partner by the question you want to learn, instead of copying an uncited tier list.

Choose a learning goal

Public reporting confirms the three starter choices and describes automatic attacks, level-up upgrade cards and evolutions. It does not establish one timeless best starter for every mode.

01BulbasaurChoose it if you want to learn recovery, area control or a forgiving first route from the current in-game description.
02CharmanderChoose it if you want to learn direct damage and movement while watching how its upgrade cards change the run.
03SquirtleChoose it if you prefer a defensive experiment and want to compare survivability against the other two.

What to record after a run

  • Game version and mode.
  • Starter and first three upgrade choices.
  • Where the run ended and what defeated you.
  • Whether the recommendation came from the game, a source or your own test.

That small record is more useful than repeating “best Pokémon” without a version, mode or test scope.
