The five legendaries named in the update
The Oct 29 report names an account-based shiny legendary protection for:
What “account-based” means here
The safe reading is that the protection belongs to the player account rather than to one screenshot, one browser tab or one individual run. Keep the same account when testing the system, and record the visible build before comparing two results.
- Open the live game and record the current version; the latest readback is v0.8.78.
- Write down the legendary target and the mode or screen where the shiny attempt is shown.
- Keep the account identity consistent while comparing attempts; do not merge guest and signed-in observations.
- Capture the exact in-game wording if a pity counter, guarantee message or reward screen appears.
What we are not claiming
- No exact shiny probability.
- No exact number of attempts before a guarantee.
- No claim that earlier attempts are counted retroactively.
- No claim that pity progress transfers between accounts, modes or targets.
Those details are the long-tail questions players will search next, but a useful answer needs a current in-game label or a repeatable, dated test. Until then, “account-based pity” is the verified scope of the report—not a number we should invent.

The original PokéBonk site now shows v0.8.78. The five-target and account-based wording is the historical v0.8.77 report in the BonkDex patch summary; the live game remains the authority for the current counter and odds.
